The Fayette County Evening High School is accredited by the Southern Association of Schools and Colleges (SACS) and offers both college prep and technical/career diplomas for students age 16 to adult who have attended one full year of high school.  There are no extra curricular programs or activities, allowing students to concentrate on completing requirements for graduation in a more adult environment.  Students from other high schools may take one class each semester at FCEHS and have credit transferred to their home schools.

The Fayette County Evening High School enjoys a fine reputation among high schools within Georgia.

The Evening High School:

Offers students the opportunity to attend a non-traditionally structured school.
Functions as a vehicle to implement innovative programs.
Creates opportunities for students to explore different horizons and develop new interests.
Utilizes computers and technology extensively in the provision of instruction and students may also take online electronic courses.

THE ADVANTAGES OF EVENING HIGH:

  • Classes meet Monday through Thursday
  • Students take 3 courses instead of 6
  • Hours are from 4:00pm to 10:40pm
  • FCEHS is an Open Campus School
  • Class size is smaller than a traditional high school
  • FCEHS is a school of choice
